Athough the following animals are no longer a physical part of our herd, they remain a part of the animals here at Son Rise Ranch. They have contributed to not only the animals here, but also to our knowledge. Therefore we consider them the foundational animals to the breeding program at Son Rise Ranch. You will see one or more individuals within almost all of our animals.

The first buck that we used in our breeding Nigerians. Nice producing buck. Would not have let him go except my auto accident. We have seen some nice kids from our using him. You can always tell a Seqouia kid...the grandkids aren't far behind!
After years of breeding, we would have never known that we would come full circle as Seqioua's lines continue to lay the paternal foundation of our herd.
Summer Sol Sequoia's dam, Sassafrass, as a second freshener;
Thanks Margiana Petersen-Rockney for use of these fine photos!
